Harris Corp. and Lemko Corp. have signed a reseller agreement to combine two
Harris-made mobile communications platforms and Lemko’s software for mobile wireless network systems, Lemko announced Wednesday.

Harris will combine its KnightHawk and KnightLite cellular platforms with
Lemko’s ODC Distributed Mobile Wireless Network software to provide warfighters, first responders and public safety officials a merged platform.
Lemko designed SwarmNet to form ad hoc broadband wireless networks on-the-move in tactical or first responder situations.

KnightHawk and KnightLite are designed to connect warfighters in remote locations to 3G and 4G networks (click over to our sister site TheNewNewInternet for more on these systems).

Lemko said it builds its commercial distributed mobile wireless network technologies to not require the kind of centralized network elements contained in traditional cellular network architectures.
